WSJ: Ship By Region from Amazon Prime Will Limit 2-day Shipping
>By James Lenhart
A new program being tested by Amazon called, ‘Ship by region’, lets certain sellers choose how far their Prime reach is.
The merchants may limit how far they will ship some items – large-screen televisions, for example – with the two-day guarantee under Prime. If a Prime customer is outside that region, shipping may take longer.
Keep in mind, retailers who are part of this new program have seen an increase in sales because they are directly shipping to customers before sending the product to Amazon warehouses. Amazon hopes this will increase the amount of Prime products people are able to purchase.
I hope they keep enough 2-day shipping products on-hand, especially for people like this:
Amazon Prime 2-Day shipping saved my marriage.
