HTC to Announce The ‘Ville’ During MWC 2012
By James Lenhart

Another rumor has surfaced about an upcoming HTC device codenamed the HTC Ville. There isn’t much room for mystery as we already have an anticipated launch date, and have a good idea of what’s inside. If you were expecting a quad-core device, you’ll have to wait a bit longer — perhaps well into the middle of 2012.

Here’s the scoop: code-name HTC Ville, Android 4.0 ICS, HTC Sense 4.0, dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon Series 4 processor, 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1080p HD video capture, HSPA+ connectivity, No NFC, 1,650 mAh battery, 8mm thick, Beats-Audio in the box, and metal exterior.

Rumors point to an April announcement during Mobile World Congress, but something tells me this device won’t be at the front of the line. My guess is that this will be considered a mediocre device once it gets closer to launch. With the onset of Nvidia’s Tegra 3 it only makes sense that this wouldn’t be considered a “flagship device”, although, I have been wrong before.
