Qualcomm Introduces S4 line of Snapdragon Processors; 28nm, Quad Core, 1080p

by James Lenhart on September 15, 2011

We’re always excited to see what’s around the corner, and here’s one processor expected to be out early 2012 that makes you wish time travel were possible. On Wednesday, Qualcomm’s Senior Vice President of Product Management Cristiano Amon, confirmed the arrival of S4 Snapdragon processors. The current S3 class is by no means dust in the wind, but looking at the S4 is like buying a new pair of shoes. In other words, nobody likes old stuff. The 28nm S4 line will come in single/dual/quad core configurations, supporting 3G/4G LTE multimode, next-gen Adreno graphics, 3D and 1080p HD. Let the rumors begin on who will be the first to launch with these S4 chips.
