Latest on LulzSec – More Members Arrested
>By Christopher Weaver
Many of us had grown fond of the antics of Anonymous and LulzSec in Operation AntiSec. Whether their motives are pure or not, we’ve definitely had a fun summer watching their Twitter account, file dumps, and long string of arrests. The latest on that comes from the U.K where 2 members of Anonymous, age 20 and 24, are currently in custody for their connection with the #AntiSec movement. Things seem to be heating up for these “criminals” since this comes right on the heels of two other members arrests. Ashley Rhodes and Christopher Weatherhead were charged with Conspiracy to do an unauthorized act in relation to a computer, with intent to impair the operation of any computer or prevent or hinder access to any program or data held in a computer or to impair the operation of any such program or the reliability of such data. If you are trying to make some sense of that it simply means this, these two are being charged for hacking.
No matter how many arrests the authorities make, this movement continues. Just yesterday was “Texas Takedown Thursday” (#TTT) which was in retaliation to the arrest of 16 members of Anonymous. The harder the cops push, the harder AntiSec pushes back — maybe it’s time for a new strategy.
