More for Me – Another Daily Deal App, This Time from T-Mobile

We’re all familiar with the new wave of daily deals that have struck the interwebs and now T-Mobile is adding to the mix. More for Me for Android is an app that aggregates all the deals from deal sites and serves it to you according to your zip code thanks to geo-location — so no checking 10 million deal apps, just download this and your done. The strange thing is that this is not specific to T-Mobile customers, it’s available to all in the Android Marketplace including tablets.

According to T-Mobile spokesman David Henderson, they will occasionally offer deals that are only available to T-Mobile customers. I couldn’t  imagine what deals would apply in that situation — especially since this is being made available to all Android users.

A possible differentiating feature is the ability to narrow your deals down by category, such as: food, entertainment, clothing, activities, or getaways. Add the ability to be billed by carrier, and you’ve got one swell app.

The daily deal market is getting more and more polluted, making it difficult to distinguish quality from crap. I used to check in on the daily deals, but with the growing numbers I am starting to feel like these deals are just a gimmick.
