Today In the Past (TIP)..
Mobile

http://www.allgeek.tv/2011/01/10/att-gears-up-for-verizon-iphone-announcement/

  • AT&T lowers iPhone 3gs to $49.99 right before the Verizon announcement.
  • PR department warns AT&T users about switching to Verizon for the iPhone. Saying “I’m not sure iPhone users are ready for life in the slow lane”

http://www.allgeek.tv/2011/01/11/iphone4-officially-on-verizon/

  • Feb. 3rd iPhone becomes available to Verizon customers.
  • Feb 10th Everyone else
  • $199.99 for 16gb Version or $299.99 for 32GB version (both on new 2 year agreement)
  • Hotspot app included on new iPhone.
  • I heard a rumor that the hotspot app was going to become a native app with the 4.3 update(due in mid december). Which makes me wonder if the Verizon iPhone will come preloaded with a new OS before it gets released to the other iPhones, or if it has the same os but a unique build for Verizon only, or if its just an app that Apple made and added it into this rom.. Hmm I love speculation.

http://www.allgeek.tv/2011/01/13/iphone-fragmentation/

  • Goes along with the above post too.
  • UPDATE: 4.2.5 is the build number for the version coming out in Feb. Thats all I know. So will 4.2.5 get pushed to all the other phones, or is this just a Verizon build exclusive?
