If you havent heard about stuxnet, just know that is really stux! Its original intent was to throw off the centrifuges that were being used to make nuclear material. Stuxnet was discovered last June at the Bushehr power plant, Iran’s controversial nuclear power facility. Stuxnet has been reported in several countries around the world, including the United States. Over 100,000 computers in total have been infected. These computers are part of network systems that treat water, power station, even chemical plants. If this worm gets out of control (which it seems that is the case) it could be extra super bad God awful news. No, really I mean it. Government agencies are already trying to figure out ways to enforce protections for companies who are vulnerable to these types of attacks, which could mean even more privacy invasion. Ill post more if anything comes up!
